It is with the highest respect and deepest gratitude that I write this letter of endorsement for Mark Lowery. I had the privilege of serving under his leadership as Special Agent in Charge of the US Secret Service Dallas Field Office. In July 2002, I stood across from Mark Lowery's desk as a young man looking to become part of something greater than myself by joining the United States Secret Service. After reviewing my background and qualifications, Mr. Lowery looked at me and said that I would be an asset to the Dallas Field Office and to the Secret Service. At that moment, he asked if I would like to join the Secret Service and remain in Dallas as my first duty station. I happily accepted.
From that day forward, Mark Lowery became far more than the man who hired me. Over the course o f m y 22-year career, he served as a mentor, a leader, and an unwavering example of what true leadership should be. Mark embodies the highest standards of character, integrity, and fairness of any supervisor I have encountered in Federal Service.
He consistently demonstrated selflessness and an unwavering commitment to the mission and, most importantly, to the people under his command. Unlike many in positions of authority, Mark always placed the needs o f his agents above his own.
His approach was never self-serving. He was selfless, dedicated, and deeply invested in ensuring his agents were supported, both personally and professionally. Whether it was providing the tools necessary to complete the mission or standing by us during times of personal hardship, Mark was always there.
