Karen’s Last Day as GISD Trustee
Nov 17, 2025
I'm thankful for Karen’s commitment to do the very best for the children, teachers, and citizens of Granbury.
I'm thankful for those who rallied with her to do the right thing for the children, teachers, and citizens of Granbury.
She and others remained strong and steadfast in the pursuit of urging GISD in the right direction for the community. She spent long hours reading and researching to provide transparency, enlightening questions and positions for consideration to the staff and board.
Despite pushback from some, she brought great light and moral courage to the fight. What a thrill it has been to see my wife stand tall. She fought for the common-sense resolution that boys could not participate in girls’ athletics and could not use female restrooms. She was absolutely right. She also fought to ensure that the GISD libraires were free from sexually explicit age-inappropriate materials. Again, she was absolutely right. The President, the Governor, and our Republican Legislature agree with her.
I am so proud of Karen and her service and commitment. She has been a soldier for righteousness, and I will always love and support her. I am truly blessed to call her my wife.
Karen and I are greatly appreciative of those citizens who supported her throughout her term!
